The two-story villa in Jumeriah is designed around the concept of a modern courtyard house; a simple architectural form with a focus on the interior spaces being open to the courtyard referred to as the “Oasis”. Similar to the traditional courtyard house that has limited openings on the outside, the perforated stone skin on the exterior acts as a mashrabiya controlling the glare and the amount of heat admitted to the building while providing privacy to the family.
